The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi while the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 90,000-acre not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. It is situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya.

Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi- Samburu
Lodge
Early morning pick up from the hotel or airport. There will be a brief safari orientation (pre-departure meeting) of the safari, thereafter you will drive north to the northern frontier district. Continue to the semi arid Samburu National reserve and check in to your campsite/lodge. After lunch at the lodge there will be time to settle in before your first game drive adventure begins. 4.00pm Set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge before dark for dinner, overnight and relaxation.
Day 2

Wake up call 6.00am. 6.30am Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, Cheetah and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search for their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog…whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe inspiring! Back at the lodge, enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. 12.30pm lunch in the lodge then its time at leisure to relax by the swimming pool. 4.00pm afternoon game drive. Return to the campsite before dark for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Samburu-Olpejeta
Tented Camp
After an early morning breakfast at 0730hrs depart for a morning game drive in the reserve as we exit. Drive to Nanyuki and get to Olpajeta Conservancy in time for lunch, check in to your hotels settle down for lunch and do an afternoon game drive with a visit to the chimpanzees . Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.
Day 4
Olpejeta - Nairobi
No Accommodation
An early morning game drives in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Conservancy boasts of an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black Rhino, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Lion). The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience. After breakfast depart by road for Nairobi arriving early afternoon. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi city hotel after an exciting Ol Pejeta Tour
