Arusha National Park is only a 40 minute drive from Arusha making it a minimal travel day tour. Arusha National Park is host to black and white colobus monkeys, giraffes, zebras, blue monkeys, water buck, bushbuck, buffalo and many bird species. Flamingoes can be seen on the Great Momela Lakes in this Park. The views throughout the Park are beautiful but especially the views from Ngurdoto Crater. This crater houses a marshland which is home to many grazing animals. Tour departs Arusha at 8:30 a.m. and arrives back at 5:00 p.m.

Kahawa means coffee in Swahili. This organic coffee plantation supports the local village here at the base of Mount Meru. The villagers have formed a cooperative and the beans are grown and roasted on site. Although both arabica and robusta plants are found locally, the arabica coffee is the specialty here. There is a scientific and research plantation in the village operated by a local grower who is studying pests and diseases on local plants and how to eradicate these using natural methods. This visit will be in the morning. Shanga is a social enteprise which employs approximately 70 people with disabilities who create crafts, jewellery and glassware using recycled materials.
