Our wonderful time in South Africa with Les and Schalk!

Most of our group had never been to South Africa before and did not know what to expect, Les and Schalk provided a level of warmth, and professionalism that made our trip one of the most enjoyable foreign experiences we have ever had! We all loved the tours we went on and the Game Reserve did not disappoint! While at the Fairy Glen Game Reserve, we were provided with a wonderful meal and the staff was most welcoming. We were able to see a plethora of animals and were able to be very close to the lions and get some wonderful photos! Cape Town was so beautiful and Les and Schalk were very informative and provided us with helpful logistical and historical information that was very much appreciated. They set us up in accommodation that provided amazing views of Table Mountain and and our suites had balconies that faced the Atlantic! Everyone wants to go back to visit South Africa again sometime in the future, and that has a lot to do with Les & Schalk's tireless effort in making sure that we all had a wonderful time in their country!
Four Visits - speaks for itself!

We have been to South Africa four times since 2003 and each time we have toured with Les and Schalk of Lescha Tours. The first time we were recommended to them by a friend – serendipity! We so enjoyed the week in Cape Town and along the Garden Route, with visits to Table Mountain, the winelands, cheetah sanctuary, Oudtshoorn and Kango caves, small safari park, elephant park, George and others that we decided to return for more. Indeed we did, and took friends along with us – with longer trips, all ‘tailor-made’ by Les and Schalk. In each of the subsequent visits – in 2004, 2007, and 2010 (we must be due another soon) – we had different itineraries and have covered different parts of the magnificent country that is South Africa. We have done and seen so much it is difficult to describe in a couple of paragraphs. Apart from the Garden Route, we have visited Cape Point, the West Coast (including visit to a primary school), the Karoo, Kimberley, Drakensburg, Durban, Johannesburg and surrounds, Blood River, Port Elizabeth and many other places. In the trips there were fascinating visits to animal parks and gardens of all sorts, wineries, whale watching, museums – anything you want. Les and Schalk will not only arrange the venues for you, but also book accommodation to suit your pocket. If you can afford it, try a two-night visit to Sanbona Safari Park for the luxury experience of a lifetime. Les and Schalk are great guys for whom nothing is too much trouble. They will make your personalised tour one to remember. They are attentive without being intrusive and will let you safely ‘do your own thing’ for a while if that is what you want – and they have a wonderful sense of fun. Clearly we recommend Lescha Tours without reservation. If you would like to contact us directly you can do so on email@example.com We live in Norfolk, England and would be happy to have a chat, too.

I visited South Africa - the Western Cape specifically in January of 2012 with my wife and daughters (aged 10 and 8). We were touring around with various stops and a variety of excursions , focussing on fine dining and wineries. We were based at the Arabella Sheraton for a part of the holiday when we were introduced to Les and Schalk. The hotel was quite appalling with some of the worst service I have ever encountered. Thankfully the guys took us out for 3 days and turned a disaster into a highlight. We had pre booked lunches and a couple of winery trips but Les and Schalk managed to add a couple more ad hoc visits on for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and they managed to skilfully combine a friendly, informative and welcoming drive in their van with allowing us privacy as a family to do our own thing. The highlight however was NY Eve. We were extremely concerned as the hotel was living up to its usual level of incompetence viz. organising anything for New Year . Les and Schalk took over and made it into one of the more memorable experiences on our trip. They found a fantastic local restaurant by the waterfront where we had a superb meal and wines to match. They then picked us all up and took us to their home town of Kleinmond where they had stored our pre bought champagne in a cooler and proceeded to set up camp with snacks for the kids (and us !) in a wonderful spot to watch the fireworks and see the New Year in. We felt included as part of the local scene and truly privileged to have been there. I am pleased to say we have kept in touch and look forward to asking the guys for their assistance on our next visit ! I would urge anyone in the area to do the same. Howard Thomas
