Just got back from an extremely memorable trip to Tanzania and have nothing but great things to say about Happy World Safaris.

We booked a 3 day Mt. Meru trek as well as a 3 day camping safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater.

Everything was extremely well organized and we had some of the best times of our lives. Our guides (Frank for the trek, Tony for the safari) as well as the cooks and porters were all extremely friendly and caring, and made for a fantastic experience. They really knew what they were doing. With Tony, we were able to see 4 of the Big 5 (we missed out on the elusive leopard), and with Frank we were able to summit Mt. Meru in time to see the sun rise over Kilimanjaro above the clouds. Truly a great experience.

Joseph, the owner and organizer, was in contact every step of the way, from picking us up at the airport, to even calling us while we were on our trek to make sure everything was going well. He was always very clear about what was to be expected, and really put a personal touch on the trip, which I hear many other safari companies do not do. Really great attention to detail and personal service.

I cannot recommend Happy World enough; they really provide a memorable experience and a marvelous service. If and when I come back to Tanzania, I will 100% definitely be contacting Joseph again, and I will recommend him always to anyone who asks me about tours in Tanzania.

Hello Everyone!

I did my safari in Tanzania with Happy World. 5 days (Tarangire/Serengueti/Ngorongoro). There are many options out there and since it's pretty expensive we didn't want to take risks so I decided to book with Happy World because a couple friends have had an amazing trip with them.

I was not disapointed, Excelent service, very professional driver and guide. They could spot a Lion where I could only see grass, so you know they're doing the best job to guarantee that you can see all the animals.

All food was included so at the end you pay extras only if drinking beers or buying souvenirs. They also have the patience; if you want to stay 2 hours with the same animal that's ok if you want to hurry that's ok too.

Happy World booked Ngorongoro Farm House, which is very beautiful hotel; Savannah Seronera in Serengeti which is a tented hotel (real beds, nice food and in the middle of the Serengeti so you can hear animals around you at night which is an amazing experience) and Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which is a beautiful hotel at the crater rim so there are stunning views; nice rooms and overall good food.

The car is very big so you are comfortable seated or you can stand and have a nice view from the roof. The car has also a fridge and water and sodas are complimentary, we also bought some beers also to keep them cold during the trip since beers at hotels might be expensive.

The car has 2 binoculars with good reach (10x50) so if yours aren't better maybe you should leave them at home. We asked for bean bags for photo stabilization and they provided 3, which were more than enough (I advise to read about how to use a bean bag for a safari, I saw so many people with good cameras and good lenses trying to take photos using their hands for stabilization and that's a bad idea with tele lens). The car also has books for animal references so you can read about what you're seeing but our guide was an expert with invaluable info.

We had a couple of problems: one attributable to the excesive bureaucracy of the parks authority which meant waiting almost 3 hours to get out of Serengeti (I understand that's not uncommon) so we reached our hotel in Ngorongoro at night missing the beatuful sunset. The other was a problem with the car which meant leaving to Ngorongoro crater 1 hour later than the scheduled time and since that visit begins so early we could have had more sleep or a more relaxed warm breakfast at the hotel.

Joseph meet us the day before and the day we arrived from the safari, he really wants you to have best experience and apologized for these problems. But for the general experience I recommend Happy World without a doubt.

What an amazing adventure! We decided to book a 5 day private camping safari. We visited Tarengire Park, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

Joseph, the owner of Happy World Safari, and Tony (our amazing guide) came to pick us up at the airport. They drove us to our Hotel in Arusha. On the way, they took the time to explain to us everything about the next 5 days. We were super excited to start our Safari.

Tarengire was great to start the safari. We had the chance to see so many animals: Zebras, Wildebeests, Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Gazelles and birds in a middle of beautiful landscape. We slept in a camp near Manyara. When we arrived, William (our cook) already prepared the tent and an excellent dinner for us.

The second day was a little bit of a disappointment. The drive is quite long to go in Serengeti, so Happy World Safari proposed us to stop at a Masai Village and also in a pale-anthropological site, the Olduvai site. Both were interesting, especially the gorge, but these activities are not included in the overall price. We arrived in the park at the end of the day, and fortunately we have a great surprise to save the day. After the dinner in the new camp we had the chance to have a visit from an elephant during the night! That was awesome sight!!

Thank you for putting together such an ideal itinerary for me, and for making sure I am happy as your company name; as you know from my Inquire, Joseph was outstanding!

I enjoyed every location I visited, but my favorite was Serengeti National Park. I fell in love with the tall grasslands, sprinkled with the occasional tree, and the rolling hills. In the hour or two just after sunrise, the low light turned the whole landscape into a golden dream. Oddly, given that I went to Tanzania to experience the wildlife, my most magical moment was in an area with no visible animals at all, at the border between the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. Since the migration hadn't reached there yet, there weren't any large animals to stand out above the tall grass. The land seemed to stretch out forever, and I felt connected to all of it in a way I've experienced in only a handful of places. This particular location made me realize why people refer to a "sea" of grass, and I loved watching the wind roll through it in waves, and listening to the leaves rustle against one another.

Of course the wildlife viewing in the area was also outstanding; it was in a nearby valley that I got to approach within a few yards of a cheetah (my favorite "dream come true" moment), and watch lions feeding on a zebra (my favorite "National Geographic" moment). The feeding lions included a young cub who was practicing his choke hold and wrestling with the zebra's head; it was incredibly funny in a grisly sort of way, because the zebra's head probably weighed as much as the cub, and a couple of times the cub flip-flopped completely over the zebra's neck.

Thanks again for helping to make this wonderful journey happen. A significant factor in my decision to go with Happy World Safaris was how easy it was to talk with Joseph, not just because you always seemed to be available, but also because you were so knowledgeable, and eager to help.

Traveling for the first time with a group of 20 from Hong Kong we had a wonderful time! It was incredible, magical, rich and beautiful, and overflowing with SO much. I am still in a glow from the wealth of all that we encountered. It was one of the most amazing and memorable trips I have ever taken! Every day was a new adventure, and time didn't exist.... I slept so peacefully, with all the quiet and black stillness (for me, that was a particular treat, with no city sounds and lights anywhere....!).

The Maasai activities were outstanding. Very well-planned and executed. A true highlight of the safari.

Everything was so carefully and thoughtfully organized and orchestrated for us, I felt truly spoiled. Every member of the team exuded enthusiasm for our comfort and well-being. Baraka, Frank, Amani and Osbert were a joy to be with as we bounced along from one "wow" moment to another. It's clear that Happy World Safaris has given much attention to who is added to the overall team.

I especially enjoyed the meals prepared for us at each Tented Camp and Lodges

I want to thank you, Joseph for all your patient and supportive help with this trip - there wasn't a thing you left to chance, and I appreciated that a lot.

With best wishes,
Katrina Tang

I made good friends with the staff during my safari. The guide was so gracious; he alway spoke to us with kindness and enthusiasm, even if we were asking the same questions a hundred times. He was very professional, knowledgeable and funny too!
I am such a picky person but Happy World Safaris has impressed me incredibly. Happy World Safaris is the only way to go.

Everything was unforgettable. The balloon safari in Serengeti National Park was amazing, the animals were so wonderful to see in their habitat. We were so blessed to get to see the wildebeest migration of about 150,000, as well as lions, leopards, and cheetah in the Serengeti, . The Tarangire had the great ecosystem and The Ngorongoro Crater was astounding made me want to stay so much longer!
After the trip we had, my youngest son made us promise to take him to Tanzania, too. And we will; we can’t wait to do a family trip with the kids!
Happy World Safaris definitely pays attention to the details—little things, And it’s clear that Happy World Safaris treats their Tanzania staff well; we noticed, and it was important to us.
Our guides were extremely knowledgeable; Baraka was immeasurably helpful, always going above and beyond.

All our expectations were met and exceeded! Thank you, Happy World!!

I Traveled with my family (Me, My wife and 3 kids-10,16 and 18) for the first time in Africa on October 2013 to Tanzania, Eastern Africa. I could enjoy from the very beginning when we received a safari quotation from Happy World Safaris, Joseph was our contact person he was prompt in replying our email, well detailed &organized information, attentive and there always to help even after payment to confirm our booking. Tanzania is a beautiful country from Landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you could start experiencing the majestic of this country.
We started our Safari on 06th Oct, Our driver guide Frank Was so gracious and knowledgeable about all the wildlife and the land. We learned so much from him
We started by Visiting Lake Manyara National. Just a 2 hours driving from Shoprite we did a full day gamedrive at this park and we enjoyed this rift valley with a lot baboon, we could see elephants, buffalo, lion on the tree, jackals, wild cats, gazelle, antelopes, hippo, flamingos, water bucks, and many other including species of birds on which was not my interest.
The next gamedrive was at Serengeti National Park a 4 hours driving from Mto wa Mbu entering via Naabi Gate, I was so excited about the Park. Named after a Maasai name "meaning an endless plain" where we spent 3 Nights(2 in Seronera, & 1 in Lobo) We spotted a lot of animals especially on the central serengeti, we were able to visit the Moru Kopjes, Simba Kopjes, and the Maasai Kopjes, Hippo pools and rivers was so wonderful, and nevertheless Lake Magadi. We saw many animals from Predators, Large Mammals, Small Mammals, Reptiles, Birds. We were lack to see herds of wildebeest and Zebra, also a live ambush of cheetah at a Thompson gazelle and lion pride hunting and killing a large buffalo, all an amazing moment.
Ngorongoro Crater was our next move, from the enrty to the crater floor you could see the world heritages, it was full of many species, endangered Rhino was easily spotted from here, warthogs, Ostrich, Lions, Buffaloes, flamingos. The crater is so beautiful even from viewing it from the rim
Tarangire was our finishing part, this park was so beautiful more than what one can read, blessed by its Savannah vegetation with many baobab trees, Tarangire River was full of Zebra and herd of elephant in a very big number. Antelopes, Mangoose, Topi, Lions, buffaloes....unique of Tarangire appears when the sun goes down in the evening when cloud seems to be like dust of the bush, you could enjoy viewing it to the end.

Overall Review
-Accommodation(Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp, Serengeti Sopa, Lobo Wildlife Lodge, Ngorongoro Farm House, Tarangire Sopa) were excellent, they all catered for the family
-Food was so great
-Driver guide was the best, very kind to the family, knowledgeable, well driving and so much aware of the ecology
-Happy World Safaris was a great organization, excellent services, wonderful staffs including Joseph himself, great team work and professional.
-The Vehicle we used was a stretched Land cruiser so comfortable, still new, well maintained with pop up roof and well equipped
-I felt Value for Money from the very beginning to end of service, all the promises were full delivered and my expectation was met and beyond. I real enjoyed my family vacation
It was truly a trip of a lifetime.
